Claims Portal Paralegal – Personal Injury Team

We are looking to appoint a Paralegal to join our Litigation team dealing with RTA and PL claims through the Claims Portal.

The role will involve using the Claims Portal to manage your own caseload of fast track RTA and PL claims where liability has been admitted, issuing court proceedings, drafting documentation for proceedings, researching quantum and liability, attending court and briefing experts and counsel.

Candidates are not expected to have legal qualifications but must have experience of working with the Claims Portal and be able to manage their own caseload.   The candidate must have a friendly and professional attitude, be adaptable and willing to take on more complex workloads.

The role would suit someone who is organised, works well under pressure, accurate, has an aptitude for learning, excellent attention to detail and is capable of working with minimal supervision. The candidate should have strong spoken and written communication skills and must also work well independently and as part of a team in order to meet deadlines.

You would be working in an open plan office with 12 others in a busy fast paced environment.

Salary: Dependant on experience

Full time – 37.5 hours per week 9.00am-5.30pm (Mon-Fri)

Legal Secretary – Personal Injury Team

We are actively looking to appoint an experienced Personal Injury Legal Secretary to join our team.

The role will involve assisting and supporting the fee earners providing exemplary secretarial services.  This role involves more than just typing and basic secretarial/admin duties, it will provide you with an opportunity to expand on your skills and knowledge by undertaking duties such as drafting court documents and preparing trial bundles as well as producing documents using digital dictation and case management systems.

Previous experience as a Legal Secretary is essential; you must have a friendly and professional attitude, be adaptable and willing to take on more complex workloads, subject to training, whilst working closely with the Solicitors/Legal Executives.

The role would suit someone who is organised, works well under pressure, accurate, has an aptitude for learning and excellent attention to detail.  The candidate should have strong spoken and written communication skills and must also work well independently and as part of a team in order to meet deadlines.

Candidates must be able to type at least 70 words per minute and may be required to undertake a typing & proof reading test. Excellent IT skills and experience of using Microsoft Office is essential and candidates must also possess 4 GCSE’s grades C or above including English and Maths.

You would be working in a friendly open plan office with 13 others and will be responsible for supporting 4 fee earners in a busy fast paced environment.

Full-time – 37.5 hours per week

Paralegal – Non-Contentious Team

Due to expansion, we are looking to recruit a law graduate to work within the Conveyancing team as a Paralegal. The role will involve assisting the Fee Earners with the legal aspects of the conveyancing process including preparing documentation such as contracts and bills, checking titles, requesting searches and liaising with Clients, Referrers, Solicitors and Estate Agents.

Communication is vital in this role therefore we require someone that is articulate, positive, engaging and approachable. A professional presentable image is also essential as you would at times be dealing with clients face to face.

In addition to this you must be computer literate, organised, work well under pressure, have the ability to work in a team and on your own, be able to deal with difficult situations using tact and diplomacy and take pride in achieving high standards of work.

A degree in Law and an interest in conveyancing is essential for this role.

The successful candidate may be provided with the opportunity to undertake the CILEx Graduate Fast-track Diploma.

The role will involve assisting and supporting the fee earners providing exemplary secretarial services, it comprises of more than just typing and basic secretarial/admin duties, it will provide you with an opportunity to expand on your skills and knowledge by undertaking duties such as drafting court documents and preparing trial bundles as well as producing documents using digital dictation and case management systems.
