Claims Portal Paralegal – Personal Injury Team

We are looking to appoint a Paralegal to join our Litigation team dealing with RTA and PL claims through the Claims Portal.

The role will involve using the Claims Portal to manage your own caseload of fast track RTA and PL claims where liability has been admitted, issuing court proceedings, drafting documentation for proceedings, researching quantum and liability, attending court and briefing experts and counsel.

Candidates are not expected to have legal qualifications but must have experience of working with the Claims Portal and be able to manage their own caseload.   The candidate must have a friendly and professional attitude, be adaptable and willing to take on more complex workloads.

The role would suit someone who is organised, works well under pressure, accurate, has an aptitude for learning, excellent attention to detail and is capable of working with minimal supervision. The candidate should have strong spoken and written communication skills and must also work well independently and as part of a team in order to meet deadlines.

You would be working in an open plan office with 12 others in a busy fast paced environment.

Salary: Dependant on experience

Full time – 37.5 hours per week 9.00am-5.30pm (Mon-Fri)

PI Solicitor / Legal Executive

We have an excellent opportunity for a Solicitor or Legal Executive with a background in personal injury. You should have experience of managing a comprehensive case load, with a minimum of 2-3 years PQE, at a good quality Firm.

We are looking for someone with demonstrable experience of dealing and assisting with complex personal injury caseloads including RTA’s, Clinical Negligence, El, OL, Industrial Injuries and Product Liability.  You must have excellent communication and organisation skills and enjoy working as part of a team.

Candidates are expected to manage their own caseloads from instruction to legal completion, in addition to building and maintaining effective client relationships.

You would be working in an open plan environment in an existing team of 12.

Salary for this role will be dependent on your experience and qualifications.

Job Type:  37.5 hrs per week, Monday to Friday.

Post Exchange Assistant

We are actively looking to appoint a Post-Exchange/Legal Secretary to join our expanding conveyancing department.

The role will involve assisting and supporting a lawyer/fee earner and handling conveyancing transaction cases following the point of exchange of contracts.  The main duties will include: administrative responsibilities and file preparation after exchange has taken place; completion day procedures; submitting and paying stamp duty land tax; registration with the HM Land Registry: finalising any post-registration matters, including assisting with file closing procedures and being aware of time schedules to undertake such tasks.

Whilst previous conveyancing experience is not essential, as full training will be given; experience of working in a busy office environment is essential.   The candidate must have a friendly and professional attitude and be keen to learn thereby complying with the required legal procedures.

The role would suit someone who is organised, accurate and has excellent attention to detail.  You would be working in an open plan environment in an existing team of 12; salary will be dependent on experience.

Role Requirements:

Essential:

  • At least two years experience working in an office environment
  • Educated to A Level Standard
  • GCSE’s including English & Maths
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent administration skills and attention to detail
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines
  • Ability to prioritise your workload
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Competent in using IT packages such as MS Office, including Word and Excel

Desirable:

  • Experience of working in a conveyancing post
